Boğaziçi University Social Policy Forum in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, Disability Studies Graduate Thesis Awards were granted.

The thesis award ceremony was organized on the Human Rights Day 10th December. Ph.D. level thesis award was granted to Beyza Ünal, who obtained her Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology from Middle East Technical University, with her thesis entitled ‘The Development of Disability Pride Through Challenging Internalized Idealist and Ableist Norms in Turkish Society: A Grounded Theory Study’. Balam Kenter, who took her master’s degree in Philosophy from Boğaziçi University, was granted the master’s level thesis award with her thesis entitled ‘Understanding Oppression and Exploitation Through Disability: Intersectionality, Surplus Populations, And Radical Needs’.
